1by1SheridanWes Sheridan was elected to the Prince Edward Island Legislature on May 28, 2007, as MLA for Kensington-Malpeque. On June 12th, 2007, he was appointed by Premier Robert Ghiz as Provincial Treasurer; Minister Responsible for the Public Service Commission; Minister Responsible for the PEI Lending Agency; and also Minister Responsible for the PEI Harness Racing Commission.

 

Prior to entering politics, he was Assistant Manager at Malpeque Bay Credit Union, and Manager of Commercial Lending.

As a community volunteer, he has provided leadership to a number of local service organizations and sports teams; was instrumental in the launch of the community’s first Teen Drop-in Centre; served as Elder in the Kensington United Church; and has been a Sunday School Teacher for the past nine years.

Mr. Sheridan graduated with an Economics Degree from Dartmouth College, in Hanover, New Hampshire, in 1982.

Mr. Sheridan and his wife, Sandra, live in Malpeque. They have three children, Jon, Megan and Kelly.
